Vintage "Break in Case of Emergency" Ten-pound note charm

This sweet charm, made in solid 9K gold with hallmarks for 1977 Birmingham, is an iconic "break in case of emergency" pendant. Popularized in the late 60s and throughout the 1970s, these charms were often given as gifts, with one, five, ten, and sometimes even twenty pound notes folded very tightly and set under glass. Some of these charms are engraved "Break In Case of Emergency" along the side. They remain very collectible and still make excellent gifts to this day.
